Silver Institute to Sponsor Silver Technology Symposium at TechConnect World Innovation Conference 2018
(Washington, D.C. – March 19, 2018) The Silver Institute is pleased to announce that it is sponsoring a symposium at TechConnect World Innovation Conference 2018, one of the world’s largest multi-sector gatherings of technology leaders, researchers, innovators, technology prospectors and investors. This world-class event will be held in Anaheim, California, at the city’s new convention center.
The Silver Materials and Innovations Symposium will be held on Monday May 14, 2018, as part of TechConnect’s 20th anniversary event. The TechConnect World event includes 35 world-class symposiums and leading technology conferences and expositions, including Nanotech 2018, and will bring together over 4,000 attendees from 70 countries supporting the development and commercialization of new innovations.
Silver is an extraordinary metal which plays an important role in many of the technologies that surround us in daily life. This symposium will provide a platform for top industrialists and academics to introduce the next generation of scientific breakthroughs reliant on silver. It will be run across two sessions:
Silver Materials & Innovations, Monday May 14, 2018
Session 1 – 10.30am-12.30pm
- Silver: scientific progress and commercial opportunities in 2018 and beyond (Trevor Keel, Technical Director, Silver Institute, USA and Material Value, UK)
- Development and commercialization of an innovative Point of Care platform using silver nanoparticles as the signaling methods (Fiona Marshall, AgPlus Diagnostics, UK)
- Wet processable transparent conductive materials based on silver nanowires (Michael Spaid, Cambrios Advanced Materials, USA)
- Reactive silver inks as an alternative for photovoltaic metallization (Avinash Mamidanna, Arizona State University, USA)
- EMI shielding by innovative silver spraying process (Samuel Stremsdoerfer, Jetmetal Technologies, France)
Session 2 – 1.30pm-3.45pm
