Registration Continues for the 4th Annual China International Silver Conference


(Washington, D.C. - September 23, 2005) Registration is ongoing for the 4th Annual China International Silver Conference, to be held in Lijiang, Yunnan Province, China, October 18-21. Those interested in attending the Conference can register online at http://www.silver-china.cn/en/index.htm. The Conference brochure can also be found on the Silver Institute's home page at www.silverinstitute.org.

The Silver Institute and four key organizations from the Chinese silver industry will jointly host the 4th Annual China International Silver Conference. Other hosts include the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC), the Gemological Association of China, the China General Chamber of Commerce, and the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.

"China has emerged as one of the key players in the global silver market. For those silver market participants who want to better understand this dynamic market, attendance at the Conference is essential," stated Michael DiRienzo, Executive Director of the Silver Institute.

The Conference will be held at Guanfong Garden Villa Hotel in Lijiang. Conference registration will take place on October 18, as well as a welcome reception that evening. The Conference program will be October 19-20, and October 21 is reserved for field trips, one of which is to nearby villages, where Chinese artisans manufacture silver jewelry and silver tableware.

Delegates arriving at the Lijiang Airport on the 18th of October can take advantage of complimentary shuttle bus service to the Guanfong Garden Villa Hotel.
