This two-day conference will bring together participants from
all silver sectors to meet and discuss the latest developments
facing the silver industry in China. This year's conference
will have a comprehensive program of presentations from international
and domestic industry experts. There will be ample opportunities
for extramural networking in which to foster business relationships,
beginning with a welcoming reception on Sunday, November 16.
The conference will build on the tremendous success of the
first conference, held last September in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia,
where over 300 delegates met to discuss the Chinese silver
market and associated industries.
The Shanghai White Platinum and Silver Exchange is organizing
the 2003 conference, in cooperation with the Huaye Construction
& Development Company. The conference's principal sponsors
currently include: the China General Chamber of Commerce;
the China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemical
Importers and Exporters; the China Gemological Association;
the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association; and the
Silver Institute. The Municipal People's Government of Weihai
is serving as the conference host.
